Update1

Alexander grew up on a small farm, taking care of animals with his grandfather. Every day, his grandfather would say, “Healthy animals make a healthy farm.” Those words stayed in Alexander’s heart. Wanting to meet others who shared his passion, he joined a local farming group. But there, he saw something shocking, many farm animals were sick or dying due to poor nutrition.

“I still remember the first time I saw a baby calf being born. It was struggling to stand, and I realized how much care and effort it takes for a newborn animal to survive. So when I saw the reality in my village, I knew I had to do something to help the farmers and their animals.”

Alexander studied animal nutrition in college, searching for solutions. He also trained with veterinarians, learning proper feed management. But during his training, he discovered a major problem. Many farmers struggled to manage their farms because they lacked the right knowledge and skills. Without access to good feed, farmers often fed their animals waste or moldy food, which made them sick and even led to death.

“Because they couldn’t manage their farms properly, many farmers faced financial difficulties. So, with the love for life, my grandfather taught me and the feed management knowledge I gained in college, I started Gateway Feeds and Farms (GFF) to help both animals and farmers.”

GFF produces animal feed and supplements by recycling local crops. Using materials such as corn husks, soybean shells, and cassava waste, GFF develops cost-effective and environmentally friendly feed that benefits both farmers and the ecosystem. Essential vitamins and minerals are also incorporated into the feed to enhance livestock health.

This nutrient-rich feed strengthens immunity and plays a crucial role in disease prevention. By making organic feed and supplements more affordable, GFF helps reduce farmers' financial strain while ensuring that animals receive the necessary nutrients for healthy growth. With improved feed quality, farmers can maintain livestock health while keeping costs low.

GFF also Provides Practical Training for Farmers. GFF trains farmers to efficiently manage their farms by teaching them how to select the right feed for livestock such as chickens, cows, and goats. Farmers also learn how to maintain clean environments to prevent disease and gain practical knowledge on feeding schedules, portion sizes, and breeding management. All training includes hands-on practice at real farms, allowing farmers to immediately apply their knowledge.

As a result, pork and poultry production has increased, and many farmers now sell milk and eggs at community markets organized by GFF. This has led to an average income increase of over 20%, contributing to economic stability and positive development in the community.

"I hope farmers continue to learn how to manage their farms easily and raise healthy animals. That way, we can all share the love for animals that my grandfather taught me as a child."

Alexander remains committed to putting his grandfather’s words into action: “Healthy animals make a healthy farm.” Support Gateway Feeds and Farms as Alexander trains more farmers and works toward healthier livestock!
